My junior year of college, I was a Resident Assistant. I was a little nervous about it, but felt confident that I could be good at it. I was. In the process, I made some great friends. I just talked to one of them that I haven't talked to in probably 15 years. God, maybe I really am getting old. I remember this resident coming to me indicating an interest in doing something more than just being a resident. He became our Floor President, and we became good friends. We talked a lot about life and the future. Granted, I did not know then what I know now, but that was a good thing.
At any rate, it was great to hear from him. Even better, he said something that made me feel really good. He told me that he owed me for everything I taught him. I was a bit surprised, but very proud that I had had a positive impact on someone, and it worked. How cool is that?

Feeling good that there is someone I didn't screw up...
