OK...Hard news first.  Sometimes people leave relationships under false pretenses to spare feelings. 

Now then.

I think you should make it clear to said significant other and maybe even said new guy that you want to ensure that you remain top dog daddy-wise.  How to accomplish that I’m not sure.  I’m neither a daddy nor an other guy.  But I think that a daughter needs to be reaffirmed in a divorce who her father really is, and who the guest star is so that she understands her place in the world.

Sorry dude.  Wish you didn’t have to deal with this.

I know that you can rise above most when you feel you need to.  From what I’ve read and heard about Annie, She’s probably gonna have more sense than your counterpart, not to mention never forget whom her daddy is.
